Introduction

Reverse osmosis removes salt and most other dissolved inorganic material present in the water. It is a kind of membrane separation techniques, when external pressure is applied to the more concentrated(feed water) side of the membrane to reverse the natural osmotic flow. This forces the feed water through the semi permeable membrane. The impurities are deposited on the membrane surface and sent to drain and the water that passes through the membrane as product water is, for the most part, free of impurities. The system which is made up of reverse osmosis components is reverse osmosis system.

 

General Process recommended

 

1. raw water pump-- provide the pressure to quartz sand filter/active carbon filter 
2. Silica Sand filter-- get rid of turbidity, suspended matter, organic matter, colloid ,ect.

3. Active Carbon filter--Remove the color, free chloride, organic matter, harmful matter ,ect.

4. Softener—using ion exchange resin to exchange "ions" of calcium and magnesium is the most common

and the easiest method of removing hardness of water and render the water suitable for utility purpose

5. Micron filter--prevent any deposition of large Particles, most of the bacteria, and viruses into the RO membrane,

The accuracy is 5um, for holding back any large particulates such as large iron, dust, suspended matter,

impurity.

6. High pressure pump-- Provide the high pressure to RO membrane(at least 2.0 Mpa).

7. RO system--RO system is the main part of pure water treatment plant. The RO membrane's

desalt rate can reach as high as 99%, it is capable of removing over 99% of ions, bacterias,

particles and 98% of organic.
